ETS iBT - Testing Workstation Preparation

In order for this machine to run iBT Tests, certain pre-requisites need to be met. Please refer to the table below for a description of required & optional components and download links.

Please note that having the Access Bridge installed will not interfere with normal operation.
Hence you can install everything that is required by using the iBT Bundle Installer which installs the JRE, the Keyboard Driver and the Access Bridge.
Please note that if this installation is to be done on several computers then the above installer(s) can be saved (perhaps on a CD or a shared network location) where each workstation can install from. This is more efficient since it prevents repeated downloads on each workstation.
These installations require that you have administrative privileges, and require a reboot. If you cannot complete this step due to insufficient privileges, please contact your System Administrator for assistance.
Please note that these installers now support 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7.
On Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7, you must run these installers "As Administrator".
To do so, download and save the executable installer file on your computer's hard drive, for instance, on the Desktop. Next, use Windows Explorer to locate, and then right-click on the file. You will then be able to select "Run As Administrator" from the pop-up menu that appears.
Please note that all iBT components are dormant components when iBT is not in use, so un-installation is not a necessary step. In fact, the Oracle Java Runtime Environment may enhance your web-browsing experience when visiting Java enabled websites. Please refer to the table above for instructions on un-installing components.
The Verification Tool will verify that this machine is prepared to deliver assessments. Please note that iBT requirements may have changed over previous versions of iBT, so a failure of Verification Tool will most likely be resolved by re-installing the above components.
